Three dogs, zero chill, and the best part of my day

There’s a moment every morning, somewhere between the first coffee and the first meeting, where three sets of paws start orbiting me like I’m the sun. No agenda. No inbox. Just a deep, unshakable belief that the best thing that could possibly happen next is a walk.

And the thing is — they’re right.

I spend most of my day in the land of fuzzy ideas and hard problems, which I genuinely love. But my dogs operate on a much simpler spec: be here, go outside, love the people, repeat. No backlog. No roadmap. Just the next good thing, taken at full speed.

So we walk. Same loop, mostly. They sniff the same three fence posts like breaking news, and I let my brain go quiet for twenty minutes. I come back better every time — clearer head, looser shoulders, a problem that somehow untangled itself while I wasn’t looking.

People talk about morning routines like they need an app. Mine has fur and bad recall and zero chill, and I wouldn’t trade it.

More dog stories on the way — they give me plenty of material. 🐾
